For a number of years, the RailLexic terminology of the UIC has been viewed as a reliable source by translators and interpreters alike. The fifth edition (2016) of RailLexic, the terminology of the International Union of Railways, is available in 22 languages!
The languages featured in RailLexic are Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Esperanto, Farsi, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish and Swedish.
The 2016 edition of RailLexic contains between 15,000 and 20,000 terms per source language. All terms in the main languages are complemented by grammatical aids, term variants, definitions, notes, contexts and subject field designations.
